Storyland!

We had heard about Storyland from so many people, and how wonderful it is. We decided the kids were old enough to enjoy it, and went this past Sunday. It is wonderful! We had so much fun!

Storyland is a park geared for pre-school and early elementary aged kids, full of scenes and rides from classic fairy tales and rhymes. Like this one, which was the first scene we came across:

Little known fact about the Old Lady in the Shoe: she hands out stickers.

We got little strollers for the kids:

It's over 50 years old, my dad actually went as a child, although he doesn't remember much of it, he did remember Cinderella's castle. This castle was one of Frankie's favorite, and she was so excited to see Cinderella herself in another part of the park, and wondered if she was going to her castle to find her shoe. Have I mentioned how much of a princess girl Frankie is? Hook line and sinker, she loves all things princess. This was through no encouragement from us - it just happened. It's not even a Disney thing. Just likes all the sparkle and glitter I guess.
Princess Frankie:

King Dexter:

Frankie found Cinderella's shoe!

Clark, making his historic reunion visit to Storyland:

Frankie and Daddy add Frankie and Dexter's names to a wall of leaves:

Dex is amazed when the tree starts talking to him:

Little Leprechaun:

Ball heaven

I think he looks a little like his cousin Howie in this picture - anyone else?

This video is for those of you who haven't seen good footage of Dexter walking, and want to:

Dex loved going in and out of these doors:

I think Dexter's favorite part was getting to roam free

We will be back, Storyland!
