Summertime means beach!

We had a wonderful 4th of July weekend.  It was in the 90s and sunny all weekend, so we took full advantage and hit 3 different beaches in 3 days.

Saturday was Castle Island in South Boston with the Sonderreger's annual cookout.  We had a great time with friends from CTK Dorchester, CTK Cambridge, and Ashmont Nursery School.  We seem to run in the same circles as Megan and Paul :)

My sister Sarah and her husband Jason arrived on Saturday afternoon.  It's been so much fun to have them here!

Sunday was a hot morning at church (CTK Cambridge still doesn't have AC for those of you who moved away and were wondering if we ever got AC - nope!), home for naps, and then a quick trip to Carson beach.  We found dead jellyfish on the beach and poked at them with our fingers.

Monday called for Duxbury beach, where we met up with more friends.  A delicious lunch of brie, tomato and basil sandwiches followed swims in the (relatively!) warm ocean.  Dexter spent most of his time throwing pebbles in the ocean.

It's been a scoarchah here in Boston this past week and we're going to top it off and go...back to the beach tomorrow!

ps. thanks to Alecia Augspurg for the pictures of the castle island cookout - let's just say I found my camera in the dryer on Monday...
